Opening/closing auction manipulation: how to review

Steps to Review an Opening or Closing Auction Manipulation Event

FOUND IN: Open – Close Manipulation

To detect opening or closing auction manipulation, Surveyor looks for three conditions to be met. Surveyor walks you through one of these events in three steps in the plain English story panel on the left hand side of the screen.

1. Auction Orders

Condition 1: Account enters auction – only buy order.

2. Opposite Side Orders

Condition 2: Account enters sell orders in the continuous trading market.

3. Auction Price

Condition 3: Auction-only order is filled at a price lower (more favorable) than if the sell orders had not been entered.

Using the Results

After reviewing the event, you can add a note to the event, and export the event to the responsible parties.
